Dodo - the emblem of extinction. A flightless bird that was once endemic to the island of Mauritius and went to extinction within less than a century of its discovery by European sailors...
A few years ago I started a wildlife conservation-environmental awareness poster project called ‘12images’ - you can find more details and information about it on my blog: http://www.12images.net/endangered-and-extinct-animals/12-images-for-environmental-awareness/.
I started with two 12 piece series featuring already extinct and critically endangered animals - these are the images of these two collections. I plan to continue the project with more collections from time to time - I've already made another portraying species of Madagascar's unique wildlife. All the new collections will be available as I finish them.
