Description
Ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum. It is the most famed and fabled red gemstone, one of the four traditional precious gems (sapphire, emerald, and diamond being the other three). Beside the beautiful bright color ruby is famous for its hardness, durability, luster, and rarity - transparent rubies of large sizes are even rarer than diamonds.
