Sodalite is a blue tectosilicate mineral widely used as an ornamental gemstone. Although massive sodalite samples are opaque, crystals are usually transparent to translucent. Sodalite usually comes in beautiful shades of royal blue color, often with white specks and long insets of calcit. I'm a landscape architect, writer and illustrator currently living in Budapest. As an architect, creating illustrations for the visual presentation of a project has always been a very important part of my work but it's always been about the concept and never about the picture itself - it took me until my 30s to start to create images depicting my own stories, my own imaginary reality.
