Vintage botanical illustration of a malabar plum tree (Syzygium cumini/jambolanum) , also known as Java plum and black plum.
The original drawing was made by Madame Berthe Hoola van Nooten for a 19th century book portraying exotic tropical flowers, fruits and plants from the island of Java. Digitally restored and cleaned.
