Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. 'At the beginning of Time, when the surface of the Earth used to be covered with ancient oceans, there was a small patch on the open sea above the deepest water with a few dozen of mysterious, huge eggs buoyed by the waves. Nobody knows where they came from, they just appeared one day and had been floating there for a long time, resisting every impact of the weather and all the attempts of curious marine creatures trying to crack them open. One day, eventually, one of the eggs started to fracture...
This image is one of the 12 pieces of my series titled Sailing Seven Seas, inspired by ancient legends, myths and tales about the ocean. '
