Duck Hunting by American painter Eric Sloane.
Eric Sloane (born Everard Jean Hinrichs) was a prolific landscape painter, illustrator and an impassionate researcher of New England folk culture, architecture, and colonial daily life.
Beside his landscapes depicting stone barns, covered bridges, and rocky mountainscapes characteristic of that region, inpsired by longer visits to Taos, New Mexico he painted several western landscapes and luminous depictions of the desert sky as well. His fascination with the sky and the clouds, a central theme on his beautiful skyscapes, started with his first flight in his younger years and led to commissions to paint works for the U.S. Air Force later.
