'…There are stories whispered among sailors about a giant stone arch standing somewhere on the open water after sailing past Cape Horn towards the Antarctic Peninsula. They say it can only be seen on clear nights, when the stars are so bright and close you feel you could touch them. They also say it’s a portal where you can cross to an unknown world, but nobody knows for sure, because nobody who has ever dared to sail under the arch has ever returned. So far...
This image is one of the 12 pieces of my series titled Sailing Seven Seas, inspired by ancient legends, myths and tales about the ocean. '
