"There are faces of the ocean and the night sky that human eyes will never get to see...On rare and extraordinary nights, all kinds of creatures born or made for the sea gather for gazing at the spectacular seascapes created by the magical alignment of the shining stars, the low drifting clouds and their reflection on the calm water."This image is one of the 12 pieces of my series titled Sailing Seven Seas, inspired by ancient legends, myths and tales about the ocean. About Moira Risen
I'm a landscape architect, writer and illustrator currently living in Budapest. As an architect, creating illustrations for the visual presentation of a project has always been a very important part of my work but it's always been about the concept and never about the picture itself - it took me until my 30s to start to create images depicting my own stories, my own imaginary reality. Most of my pictures are inspired by the existing world, but with a touch of illusion - I like to play with unreal lighting and reflections creating compositions that feel 'almost' realistic.
