Vintage botanical illustration of a torch ginger (Elettaria speciosa/Etlingera elatior), also known as ginger flower, red ginger lily, combrang, Philippine wax flower and porcelain rose.

The original drawing was made by Madame Berthe Hoola van Nooten for a 19th century book portraying exotic tropical flowers, fruits and plants from the island of Java. Digitally restored and cleaned.
