Description
The critically endangered indri is one of the largest surviving lemurs, with a body length of around 70 cm and an avarege weight of around 7 kg. Individuals have variable fur coloration with patterns of grays, blacks and whites, prominent tufted black ears and it’s the only lemur species that has only a rudimentary tail. Indris inhabit the lowland and montane forests along the eastern coast of Madagascar; and are an important part of the culture of Malagasy people, with lots of myths and legends around them.
A few years ago I started a wildlife conservation-environmental awareness poster project called ‘12images’ - you can find more details and information about it on my blog: http://www.12images.net/endangered-and-extinct-animals/12-images-for-environmental-awareness/.
I started with two 12 piece series featuring already extinct and critically endangered animals and I plan to continue the project with more collections from time to time - this Madagascar series is the first I added. All the new collections will be available as I finish them.
PLEASE, BE AWARE, THAT AS THESE POSTERS ARE PROJECT RELATED, THE 12IMAGES.NET COPYRIGHT NOTICE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTERS IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE DESIGN AND WILL BE PRINTED ON THE POSTERS YOU PURCHASE.
My whole profit from any sales of these series goes to the Sea Shepherd to support their fight to save our oceans and marine wildlife. For now, you can purchase only wall prints and some products here on FAA/pixel, but I created several design variations more suitable for t-shirts etc. - they are available through my website: please visit http://www.12images.net.
